Role of the GM-CSF and IL-17A in Multiple Sclerosis and Experimental Auto-immune Encephalomyelitis
The purpose of this project is to investigate the role of the GM-CSF produced by the T lymphocytes involved in the physiopathology of multiple sclerosis (MS). A monoclonal antibody-treatment which neutralises this pro-inflammatory molecule will be tested on an experimental model of MS in mice. During the clinical part of the project, the expression of inflammatory markers, including GM-CSF, will be examined in MS patients during attacks.
