Dear friends of the Belgian Charcot Foundation - fighting multiple sclerosis,

Thanks to your unfailing support, every year we take another step forward in the fight against multiple sclerosis. In 2024, your generosity allowed us to fund 7 cutting-edge research projects in Belgium, which are helping to make major advances in the understanding and treatment of this complex condition.

This year, we are enormously pleased to be able to lend our support to 8 new projects. We owe this to your donations and some exceptional patrons.

These innovative studies focus on a wide range of essential topics, including:

• the role of immune cells and lipids in nervous system repair,
• the regulatory mechanisms of inflammation,
• advanced human models for the study of myelin,
• and new therapeutic avenues linked to epstein-barr virus and promising molecules.

These projects were selected by our scientific jury based on strict criteria. They testify to the dynamism and excellent work of the researchers we support. The work they do would not be possible without your donations.
