Every year about 400 Belgians receive the diagnosis of MS. This neurological disease is still incurable and results often in a disability. In Belgium, more than 12,000 MS patients count on scientific research to improve the treatment of this desease.
As an encouragement for the groundbreaking work provided by our researchers, the Fondation Charcot Stichting will increase its financial support in 2018 from 200,000 euros to 300,000 euros.The call for project for this annual grant from the Charcot Fund 2018 to the universities is launched. Grants will be awarded in January 2018.
As a major player in multiple sclerosis research in Belgium, the Fondation Charcot Stichting supports innovative projects in immunology, genetics or biochemistry with the aim of improving MS treatment.
